The English Mastiff is a giant breed, known simply as the Mastiff by the National Kennel Club. They require lots of energy and regular exercise. Robust with strong protective instincts, their size, massive paws, and a 552 psi bite force can pose a threat, yet with proper care, they are often gentle, reliable family guardians. Homes without small children are best due to their size.
