3. Towels vs. bath mats

For good hygiene, change towels after every three to four uses. Rotating two towels lets one dry fully between uses, so you only need to wash them about every two weeks. Ignoring this can cause musty smells and make white towels look gray.
Bath mats need even more frequent care. Their dampness, plus bathroom warmth and darkness, creates ideal conditions for mold and bacteria. Wash bath mats at least once a week to remove dirt and keep the bathroom sanitary.
